The Regional Hub for Fertilizer and Soil Health for West Africa and the Sahel (the Hub) is pleased to announce that the International Soil Reference and Information Centre (ISRIC) has officially joined the Hub as a consortium member.

ISRIC has previously contributed significantly to the Hub’s mission and activities as a knowledge partner. The signing of the consortium agreement marks an important milestone, formally elevating ISRIC’s role within the consortium and strengthening our collective capacity to deliver impact.

As a consortium member, ISRIC will apply its technical expertise to advance the Hub’s objectives, ensuring soil information drives improvements in productivity, sustainability, and climate resilience across West Africa and the Sahel.

This addition complements the expertise of our existing partners, including:

IITA: Site-specific nutrient recommendations; assessment of agronomic gain at scale; data collection and management systems; knowledge repository; climate adaptation advisory services; assembly of effective bio-fertilizers.

OCP: Farmer-led experimentation; development of specialty fertilizers.

APNI: Extension staff training and certification; farmer-led experimentation.

UM6P: Degree-related training at MSc and PhD level; on-the-job internships.

IFDC: Bundling technologies and services; advocacy and policy engagement; support to investment planning.

World Bank: Accelerating Impacts of CGIAR Climate Research for Africa (AICCRA) – Climate-smart agriculture and regional scaling.
